Professional Qualifications
I'm a Relate trained and qualified relationship counsellor and psychotherapist and I'm accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, whose code of ethics I follow
My way of working
At the first meeting I'll explain about confidentiality. I'll ask for some background information and invite you to tell me what's brought you to see me. By the end of the first session it's usually clear whether further meetings will be helpful but you don't have to make your mind up there and then. If we decide to go ahead we'll book a series of weekly sessions, usually at the same time each week, but don't worry if that's not possible. I can be flexible.
Once regular sessions are underway we can explore what's concerning you, what's been happening in your relationship, and how you want to go forward.
